Summer is shaping up to be hot! With four new variations in shades of sea green, midnight blue, solar orange, and electric fuchsia, Swatch’s Scubaqua collection continues its exploration of the ocean depths. Inspired by the fascinating world of jellyfish, models with striking names such as Medusea, Sea Wasp, Pacific Sea Nettle, and Flower Hat translate the marine animals’ play of light and fluid movements into a bold aesthetic language. The Medusea Pay and Sea Wasp Pay versions add Swatch Pay technology to this playful spirit, allowing users to pay for purchases with a simple flick of the wrist.
Each model combines matte white bioceramic with bio-based materials derived from castor oil. This contrast between opacity and translucency reinforces the organic feel of the collection and evokes the colorful tentacles of these gelatinous creatures. The 44mm-diameter case is paired with a matching bezel and a dial featuring luminescent hour markers, Arabic numerals, and hands to ensure easy readability, day or night.
These new Scubaqua models feature a crown positioned at 10 o’clock, which has become one of the line’s hallmarks. Their water resistance up to 100m allows for unrestricted underwater use, while the two-tone straps extend the graphic identity of each piece. Now comprising nine models, this Swatch series embodies an unpretentious vision of the diving watch, where material innovation, functionality, vibrant color, and an affordable price come together.
