URWERK – EMC “Time Hunter”

Introducing the Urwerk EMC “Time Hunter”

A mechanical watch may come out of the factory in perfect condition but it is then affected by changes in temperature, humidity and even the position it’s in. How precise it is depends on its owner’s lifestyle and activities. There is no way to resolve the situation, unless you’re Urwerk.

The EMC is fully mechanical, has a rotating disc at 1 (hours, minutes and seconds), a power reserve indicator at 7 and an electronic brain to check it’s working correctly. Like a Witschi that’s only for businesspeople, the system’s optical sensors measure the balance wheel’s amplitude and gaps in accuracy based on ± 15 seconds a day. Press the pusher and the information appears on a performance dial at 10. All you need to do is change it using a screw.

There are 15 of this green ceramic-coated titanium and steel EMC “Time Hunter” available.
