TAMBOUR TAIKO ARTY AUTOMATA Louis Vuitton

PEACE, LOVE & TOURBILLON

By mixing psychedelic poetry and mechanical virtuosity, this dial-animated watch conveys a message of love, with flowers, pop symbols, and swirling tourbillon coming together in a hypnotic ballet with a 1970s vibe.

With it’s Tambour Taiko Arty Automata, Louis Vuitton transforms a watch dial into a moving stage where mechanical watchmaking meets the pop aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s. Psychedelic silhouettes, acid-hued colors, a message of love, and Monogram flowers come together in a miniature theater animated by seven sequences that infuse this one-of-a-kind piece with an almost hypnotic energy.

Housed in a 42mm white gold Tambour case, this creation unveils its spectacle with a simple press of the push-button integrated into the case middle. Around the flying tourbillon, whose bridge echoes the shape of the peace and love symbol, the animations come to life with fascinating precision. A mouth with cherry-red lips makes a candy-pink heart dance between two rows of teeth, while an eye outlined with black micro-feathers lashes seems to observe the scene. Further on, Monogram flowers set with a diamond twirl delicately beneath swaying clouds, as if carried by a summer breeze. Artistic techniques such as featherwork, gem-setting, and enameling, among others, accentuate the magical effect of this watch, rich in delightful details. Above the regulator, the word “LOVE” appears in pink letters, extended by a rainbow disc featuring apple-green hour and minute hands. Behind this visual fantasy lies an exceptional movement: the LFT AU05.01 automatic manufacture caliber developed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva. Assembled and decorated by hand, it offers a 65-hour power reserve. Last but not least, the Grand Feu enamel, champlevé and multi-layered, adds depth and relief to this vibrant landscape, blending graphic poetry with horological virtuosity.
