Unique pastel shades are incorporated into the high-tech ceramic that is one of the manufacture’s hallmarks, giving rise to two creations in which vibrant color is paired with cutting-edge mechanics.
For several years now, Hublot has been exploring the possibilities offered by colored ceramic and has gradually expanded a color palette that has become one of its hallmarks. With the Big Bang Summer Multi-colored Ceramic editions, the Nyon-based manufacturer is adopting a pastel palette for the first time, blending pink, mint green, and sky blue to create a soft rainbow effect. Behind this apparent softness lies a high-tech material whose Vickers hardness is said to be 300 times greater than that of traditional ceramic, and whose scratch resistance is paired with a lasting luster. A single color scheme thus gives rise to two exclusive interpretations.
Both models incorporate this color palette down to the smallest detail. The polished and microbead-finished pink and mint green ceramic cases are paired with a sky-blue ceramic bezel and case back. The 42mm diameter chronograph features a matte dial in shades of mint and candy, while the 44mm tourbillon features a thick, transparent pink sapphire crystal that reveals its mechanical construction and accentuates the sense of depth. Both models come with three interchangeable white striped rubber straps via the One-Click system.
Limited to 200 pieces, the Big Bang Summer Multi-colored Ceramic in 42mm hosts the in-house HUB1280 caliber, an integrated flyback chronograph with a column wheel beating at 4hz, assembled from 354 components, and offering a 72-hour power reserve. The 44mm version, produced in a limited run of just ten pieces, is powered by the HUB6035 automatic tourbillon, with a micro-rotor visible on the dial side.
