REVERSO ONE CORDONNET JEWELLERY Jaeger-LeCoultre

SCINTILLATING TIME

Like a shining star worn on the wrist, the latest addition to the Reverso collection from the watchmaker located in the heart of the Vallée de Joux pays tribute to the ancient and magical art of gem-setting.

Created in 1931 in response to demands from polo players, the Reverso watch quickly became a cult object. It is appreciated both for its shape and its functions, to the point where it virtually embodies the spirit of the “Grande Maison”. While 2021 celebrates the 90th anniversary of this model, one that has been able to stand the test of time, reinventing itself, adapting itself, and evolving, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a modern yet precious version of a 1933 timepiece, the Reverso One Cordonnet Jewellery.

This measures 36.3x18mm with a crown adorned with a gemstone, housing the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 844. Its hand-wound mechanical movement is capable of rotating the hour and minute hands in two directions providing a power reserve of 38 hours.

The dial is covered with several layers of mother-of-pearl, the iridescence of which is accented by the golden reflections of the Arabic hour numerals, the pair of dauphine-shaped hands, the central geometrical shape, and the diamond-embellished corners. As for the back, its black onyx rectangle is ornamented with a precious sun whose wide rays serve as indexes over which hover two hands whose silhouette seems to combine the sword and the pear.
