HERITAGE 1973 Tissot

HERITAGE 1973 Tissot

AN ASPIRING CLASSIC

This vintage designed timepiece, revealed for the first time as a limited series of 1,973 pieces, enters the catalogue with three variations in three distinctive colors.

Encouraged by the success of its Heritage Navigator 1973 limited edition unveiled in 2019, Tissot has decided to commercialize a trio of models reiterating this model’s adornments. All boast the same 43 mm-large, 46.6 mm-long cushion-shaped steel case with polished, satin-brushed finishes. A flange embracing a tachymetric scale encircles the dial and tri-compax-positioned counters. The first of the three reproduces the two-tone style known as Panda, off-white and black. The second proposes these same shades but in reverse order. As for the third, it combines a blue dial with white counters. To differentiate these 2020 models, the brand from Locle took the liberty of coloring the circular section between 0 and 5 of the 30-minute totalizer of the chronograph set at 3 o’clock in blue.

tissot heritage 1973 casebackShort-cycle time measurements can be easily read thanks to hands sporting a very Seventies-style orange robe. Time data and the date are driven by the power provided by a self-winding movement. Henceforth, it’s the Valjoux A05.H31 caliber, instead of the 7753, which nestles inside the retro-looking case. Once fully wound, its performances offer at least 60 hours of power reserve compared to the forty-odd hours delivered in the 2019 edition. The engraved oscillating weight can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback.
