DS PH200M Certina

LIKE A SHINY SANDY BEACH

As a new interpretation of the famous diving watch with exquisite vintage accents in a slightly smaller diameter, this automatic model adopts the warm tones of a sandy beach on both its dial and its textile strap.

Designed in 1967 and reissued in 2018 while retaining a vintage touch that makes it furiously desirable, this goddess born to conquer the underwater world and seduce oceanic flora and fauna adopts a new look this year, without transforming its silhouette. Or almost. The steel diver model signed by Certina, the Swiss brand synonymous with affordable good looks, has lost three millimeters in diameter, going from 42.8 to 39, a barely perceptible change that makes all the difference since it can be worn on thinner wrists. Carried away in its momentum, the watch company belonging to the Swatch Group took the opportunity to dress its DS PH200M in warm colors. One look at the timepiece and it transports us to a hot sandy beach sand decorated with iridescent shells.

certina ds ph200m lifestyleTo counterbalance the look of a sea adventurer that no predator with sharp fins seems to scare off, Certina has added a few touches of softness: white mother-of-pearl on the dial, diamond-capped indexes, luminescent sword-like hands lacquered with copper highlights. These same golden accents are found on the textile strap and on the diving scale that runs along the rotating bezel. The slightly domed rotating bezel, made of steel and ceramic, contributes greatly to the success of this collection extracted from the past.
