LES CABINOTIERS MINUTE REPEATER PERPETUAL CALENDAR
AWAKEN THE SENSES
Fine watchmaking is honored with this timepiece unveiled at the latest edition of SIHH in Geneva. Touch, sight and hearing all come into play when admiring the sophistication of this piece.
Rising to the challenge. Throughout its history, Vacheron Constantin has not stopped pushing the boundaries thanks to its tremendous technical expertise. In this way, the art of the complication is passed on through exclusive pieces such as those proposed by the brand in its Les Cabinotiers collection. Unveiled at the latest edition of the Salon de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, this is one of those combining two major complications: the minute repeater and the perpetual calendar. With a blue or brown dial, all the time information is easy to read. Hands point to the day, date and month in their respective subdials. A window provides leap year information. A moon phase balances the look giving the whole thing a great sense of purity at 6 o’clock. On the left side of the case, a small control breaks up its perfect roundness and provides the minute repeater. Simply by pressing it, you can hear a melody indicating the hour, quarter of an hour and minute.
The 42 mm dial, in white or rose gold depending on the model, houses the 1731 QP caliber (65-hour power reserve). The sapphire case back reveals the manual-winding movement measuring just 5.7 mm thick. You can also see some of the 438 components including hammers which strike the rhythm delivering crystal-clear notes.
A sign of excellence, the Les Cabinotiers Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar watch is certified by the Geneva Seal. This timepiece comes in a Makassar ebony box equipped with a winding mechanism.
