SEAMASTER AQUA TERRA ULTRA LIGHT Omega

SEAMASTER AQUA TERRA ULTRA LIGHT Omega

LIGHT AS AIR

With its shell made of innovative ultra-lightweight materials and its unique crown, this new sports watch developed by the Biel/Bienne-based watchmaker focuses on comfort and ergonomic design.

Wearing a watch during sporting activities often poses a handicap rather than a pleasure. The weight hinders movement and the crown affects joints and ligaments in the wrist. Now, thanks to innovations developed by Omega with the help and advice of its ambassador, Northern Irish golf champion Rory McIlroy, sport and watchmaking have become one with the creation of a new model: the Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light.

The 41 mm case, retractable crown which can be stowed away in the case band so as not to cause a hindrance to the wrist, and the back finished with a transparent window are made of gamma titanium, a very light and solid alloy used in the aeronautical industry. The gray ceramic bezel also contributes to this sense of freedom on the wrist, as well as the dial which is made of sandblasted grade 5 titanium and features the famous horizontal stripes in negative relief which decorate other watches in the Seamaster Aqua Terra collection.

This motor made up of a plate and bridges made of ceramized titanium operates the dauphine-style luminescent hour and minute hands and the red, blue or green (depending on the model) aluminum second hand on the dial.
