BRILLIANT NEW EXPLOIT
This new variation, unveiled during the first LVMH Watch Week Dubai, highlights the elegant personality of this ever-exceptionally-graceful watch.
In 2016, Bvlgari shook up conventional hierarchy once again with its ultra-slim timepiece featuring a striking mechanism which was but 3.12 mm thick. The titanium case of this Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater and that of the 2018 CTP version one boasted quite a spectacular size: 40 mm diameter and 6.85 mm high. This year, this reference is center staged once again with a new entirely sandblasted rose gold robe. The case and dial are both sculpted in this precious warm-colored material. Despite this choice, the case maintains its fineness with a height of just 6.90 mm.
As in the previous models, to magnify and optimize the diffusion of the subtle sounds emanating from the case, the indexes, the 12 marker and the small seconds circle are all openworked. This technical particularity also places the spotlight on the timepiece’s geometric, layered style. The heart of this reference hosts a BVL 362 caliber. This hand-wound mechanical movement activates the minute repeater complication on request via a push-piece set at 9 o’clock, fitted with an “all or nothing” safety device. Moreover, it delivers a power reserve of some 42 hours once fully wound. The sapphire crystal caseback invites to admire the bridges and gear trains of the complex assembly.
Each piece of this Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater edition with its pared-down design is complemented by a matte brown alligator strap attached by a rose gold ardillon buckle.
