FOR HEDONISTS ONLY
Classic style and crafted elegance are the watchwords which perfectly describe this new opus created by the Hamburg-established brand, inspired by yesteryear’s wristwatches produced by the reputed Minerva manufacture.
Just recently, yellow gold has won great acclaim in the jewelry and watchmaking worlds. Even though it’s definitely timeless, its appeal had somewhat waned, superseded by rather more-fashionable rose gold. But, trends come in cycles, tastes change and traditions are immortal… a phenomenon which Montblanc has so rightly got the gist of with its new Heritage Automatic whose 40 mm-diameter case is in yellow gold.
This watch, inspired by the classics produced by Minerva in the 1940s and 50s is intended for lovers of sophistication where style is a must-of-musts on a daily basis. Exquisite materials, impeccable tailoring: the Heritage Automatic remains true to the rules imposed by these modern-day hedonists with this mix between the yellow gold draping its body and the bottle-green adorning its face. Hues which we normally come across on Scottish tartan.
The watch, driven by the automatic MB 24.27 caliber, set at a frequency of 4 Hz and delivering a power reserve of 42 hours, features the hours, minutes and seconds on its dial. The first are indicated by golden Dauphine-shaped hands topped with white Super-LumiNova®, and the latter by a fine direct drive which sweeps rhythmically over the historic Montblanc logo, printed in white and set at 12 o’clock. The stylistic composition of the dial is specific to the Heritage collection with its disc decorated with a sun-brushed-finish and its sandblasted ring featuring an hour chapter with dot-style indexes and curved Arabic numerals. The ensemble is encircled by a white seconds scale with quarters colored in bright red.
The Heritage Automatic is worn on a green Sfumato alligator strap attached by a yellow gold ardillon buckle.
