MASTER CONTROL MEMOVOX TIMER Jaeger-LeCoultre

THE MEMORY OF TIME

With this new steel timepiece embracing a mechanical alarm and a time function, the Grande Maison invites us to wake up every morning and plan our day delightfully, elegantly.

A name born out of the contraction of two Latin words, memo for memory and vox for voice, which instantly unveils its function: Memovox. Since 1950, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been proposing a watch embracing a mechanical alarm and boasting a caliber which is forever changing to host state-of-the-art functions. Initially hand-wound, it moved on to automatic in 1956, then integrated a date display in 1959 and high frequency in 1970. This year, the Master Control Memovox Timer is enhanced with a sapphire-crystal caseback which has also sparked a new development in its movement. In a nutshell, the automatic 956 caliber, which drives the hours/minutes/seconds in the center, the date at 3 o’clock and delivers a power reserve of 45 hours, is jazzed up with a gong hugging the case flank, frantically struck by the hammer and an openworked oscillating weight inviting the wearer to admire this feast for the eyes.

All these displays feature on the dial adorning two hues of blue whilst the Memovox disc, engraved with relief numerals, dazzles in the center.
