MARINE TORPILLEUR ANNUAL CHRONOGRAPH Ulysse Nardin

A HOST OF TALENTS

Combining usefulness with pleasure. The manufacture enhances its collection launched in 2017 with a reference boasting complications sure to seduce highly-demanding watch aficionados.

In the armada of new pieces unveiled by Ulysse Nardin to celebrate its 175th anniversary, the Marine Torpilleur Annual Chronograph stands out through its ability to measure short-cycle times and the existence of a really practical annual calendar. Whether its dial is dressed in matt blue or varnished white, this model produced in a 300-piece limited edition per variation orchestrates time data elegantly through its perfectly-readable harmonious scenography. The hour and minute hands hover over an hour chapter comprising large streamlined Roman numerals whose color contrasts perfectly with the key nuance of the watch face. A small seconds is embraced inside the month display at 9 o’clock. A 30-minute totalizer balances the composition. A discreet round-shaped aperture, set at 6 o’clock, features the date.

This case hosts the UN-153 caliber equipped with a silicon balance spring that drives all the data. The selfwinding movement delivers 52 hours of autonomy to the watch. This device, which is constantly being improved, offers the opportunity to backtrack and fast-forward the date via the crown.

The Marine Torpilleur Annual Chronograph is accompanied by a choice of blue or brown alligator straps, attached by a folding clasp. The lug-attachment system also invites the wearer to change the strap for a R-Strap type one made with recycled fishing nets.
