MARINE ALARME MUSICALE 5547 Breguet

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

The novel Marine watches include a blue-hued sports timepiece, imagined with travel in mind, boasting a second time zone and featuring a mechanical alarm.

A few weeks ago, just before the summer season, Breguet unveiled a trio of novel Marine watches including one which really caught the eye firstly through its beauty and, secondly, through the practical functions it proposes. In a nutshell, the Marine Alarme Musicale 5547 sports timepiece is the perfect companion for travelers who love weaving their way across continents and sailing the oceans in fine style.

Two “islets” of different diameters reign on this miniature ocean: a counter displays the hours and minutes of the alarm chime at 3 o’clock, adjustable via the crown at 4 o’clock and initiated by pushing a trigger at 8 o’clock on the case middle, and a second time zone details reference time at 9 o’clock and is discreetly topped by a power reserve indicator. A small aperture at 12 o’clock enables the wearer to see if the alarm is scheduled or not. The crown at 2 o’clock on the fluted case band is used to set local hours and minutes (when at position 3) hovered over on the dial by two Breguet hands whose “moon tips” are filled with luminescent material, and reference time (at position 4). The date at 6 o’clock completes the time data.
