HYSEK – IO 49 mm Skeleton Tourbillon

Established in 1997 by the designer Jörg Hysek, the Hysek brand took off for the second time in 2002 when it was taken over by the entrepreneur Akram Aljord. Since 2007, it has been producing its own, in-house movements and since 2012, its own cases. An upmarket move which is highly-perceptible in this new IO 49 mm Skeleton Tourbillon. Although generally passionately pioneering – everyone remembers the awe-inspiring Colosso Earth, with its protruding, rotating, colourful globe of planet Earth –, this time round, Hysek advocates understated elegance and pureness. The barrel, the gear-train and the tourbillon are harmoniously interspersed in the shape of a star on a perfectly-hollowed disc. The hand-wound mechanical movement offers a power reserve of 80 hours. Each time the crown is wound up, the black diamond-set flange comes to life and twirls around the mechanism. The rose gold case is embraced by a folding-clasp leather strap. 8-piece limited edition. Price: 106,900 CHF
