HYDROCONQUEST Longines

KHAKI GREEN FINERY

After the trio of rather classic shades such as black, blue and gray, it is now khaki green’s turn to appear in the Saint-Imier watchmaker’s collections, dressing up the dial and bezel of one of its sports watches.

The HydroConquest model was built for the ocean, to sail on its surface but also to explore its depths thanks to its waterproofness tested to 300 m and all the codes it presents (rotating and unidirectional bezel, screwed crown and back, readable displays, steel or rubber strap with folding clasp and quick extension system). This year, the collection of watches dedicated to water sports has been expanded: after black, blue and gray, Longines has adopted khaki green, a hue borrowed from the wonders of nature, such as the color of the trees or the seaweed carpeting the sea floor.

The same color, in matte finish, adorns the HydroConquest’s sleek dial, over which hovers a trio of central, baton-style hands coated with white Super-LumiNova® that indicate the hours, minutes and seconds.

As for the date, it appears in black on a white background in a window at 3 o’clock. Everything is punctuated by the L888.3 automatic caliber, which delivers 64 hours of power reserve.

Longines completes this duo of watches with a HydroConquest Boutique Edition, differentiated by its green ceramic dial enhanced by a vertical brushed finish, its automatic movement (L888.4) equipped with a silicon balance-spring, and its size, available only in 41mm-diameter.
