CLASSIQUE 9065 Breguet

I DREAMED OF LOVE

This ever-so delicate Breguet-imagined timepiece, overflowing with timeless charm, dazzles with the intensely-warm, vibrant glints of Tahitian mother-of-pearl, diamonds and rose gold.

Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823), highly-acclaimed for his immense work and the significant technical advances he brought to watchmaking, also had his own stylistic language expressed through a myriad of “codes”. Far from the visually-unwieldy decorations and cumbersome frills intrinsic to the 18th century, the inventor of the tourbillon freed dials and ensured they played their main role: displaying time. This unique vocabulary can be discovered in the discreetly-named Classique contemporary collection and on the new Classique 9065 model.

Passion resonates on this latest Breguet-created piece because a watchful eye will instantly make out the miniature silhouette of a crimson-varnished heart which discreetly and tenderly entwines the direct-drive counterpoise. Because, with its rose gold body and its Tahitian mother-of-pearl adorned face, the Classique 9065 is just as charming and passionate as a love letter, just as intense as love at first sight.

These silvered markers are hovered over by a pair of Breguet hands, two fine rose-gold stems tipped with a hollow moon. The ivory-white on carmine date is displayed in an aperture at 3 o’clock.

The bezel and lugs of the 33.5 mm-diameter case are crowned with 88 brilliant-cut diamonds whose sparkle magnifies the warm shimmer of the mother-of-pearl and rose gold. The precious case, whose crown is enhanced with a ruby, hosts the 591A caliber, an automatic movement set at 4 Hz and delivering a power reserve of some 38 hours.
