BR-05 GMT GREEN STEEL Bell & Ross

DIALOGUE WITH LIGHT

Without altering its architecture, light reveals another side of this travel watch, where satin-finished steel and a vibrant green dial come together to create a calmer, more refined presence.

Light is sometimes the most discreet designer. Rather than disrupting a watch’s lines, it reveals what materials create when they come together. Bell & Ross embraces that idea with the BR-05 GMT Green Steel. Between broad satin-finished steel surfaces and a dial whose subtle green shifts with the light, reflections evolve throughout the day, giving this travel watch a calmer, almost gentler personality without diminishing the strength of its architecture.

That impression begins with a dial whose color resists easy definition. At times rich and deep, at others bright and vibrant depending on the light, it comes to life through a sunray finish topped with a tinted lacquer and a transparent protective coating. The 24-hour flange, alternating between green and rhodium-gray, naturally supports reading the second time zone indicated by a centrally mounted arrow-tipped hand filled with Super-LumiNova®. Alongside the hours, minutes and running seconds, the watch also displays the date through a green-framed aperture at 3 o’clock. Powered by the automatic BR-CAL.325-1, housed inside a 41mm case measuring 11mm thick, the BR-05 GMT Green Steel delivers a 54-hour power reserve. Available with either a satin-polished steel bracelet or a green ribbed rubber strap, it demonstrates how a simple evolution in materials and color can reveal an unexpected side of a watch that already seemed familiar.
