The Big Bang, flagship model of Hublot’s collections since 2005, is unveiled this year in a novel, elaborate variation. Its iconic 44 mm-diameter, 14.5 mm-thick case as well as its screwed-down bezel are both crafted in magic Gold. As a reminder, this 2011-introduced alloy blends gold with ceramic. And, the result? As well as its one-of-a-kind hues, it stands out from the crowd as it’s totally scratchproof and immutable, and also 18-karat graded! All these features are exclusive to the Big Bang Unico Full Magic Gold. This limited edition of just 200 pieces also flaunts a polished finish and center stages a black ceramic caseback.
Dial-side, the time data, numerals, indexes and counters, also take on a solar color thanks to the use of satin-brushed, microblasted 3N gold. As such, time displays are ever-so-easy to read and enhance the skeletonized scenography even more. A handful of the components of the HUB1280 caliber, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations an hour, are showcased below. This selfwinding movement delivers a generous power reserve of 72 hours. Over these 3 autonomy days, you can opt to wear the watch on a comfortable black ribbed-textured strap attached by a titanium folding clasp. Or, if you prefer, use the in-house One Click system and replace it in a flash by another of your choice.
