The Aquaracer, considered as TAG Heuer’s ultimate tool watch, takes on the colored codes of the London-based customization specialist with this totally titanium variation.
The talented watchmakers from the Bamford Watch Department, accomplished masters in watch bespokeness, have gained outstanding recognition over the last fifteen years thanks to a myriad of customer requests. The firm’s motto, “if you can imagine it, we can create it for you”, has also captivated leading brands. As such, the firm concluded a partnership with LVMH Group businesses like TAG Heuer in 2017. The Aquaracer x Bamford breathes life into this collaboration once again. For this 1,500-piece series, the firm drew its inspiration from pieces from the 1980s and 90s states George Bamford. “When we were imagining this limited edition, we took our inspiration from past models to create it. The orange design features and the sporty bezel echo the flagship pieces launched between 1979 and 1994, which paved the way for the Aquaracer collection, which made its public appearance back in 2004”. On the black dial, the hour and minute hands as well as the indexes stand pout perfectly as they are filled with Super-LumiNova®. This luminescent material ensures effortless time-data readability under any conditions of light.
To add a contemporary touch to the timepiece, the 43-mm diameter case, the screwed caseback and the bezel are crafted in titanium. Key effects? The dive watch blends sturdiness and lightness perfectly. It is waterproof to depths of 300 meters. The case protects the Caliber 5, a selfwinding movement, perfectly well.
The Aquaracer x Bamford is worn on a bracelet fashioned in the same material as the case, enhanced with a sandblasted finish. Its three-link design helps ensure comfortable wear.
