ALPINE EAGLE XL CHRONO Chopard

ALPINE EAGLE XL CHRONO Chopard

STYLE AND PRECISION

Following the example of all the manufacturer’s creations, this sporty pairing is distinguished by its Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) certified caliber and its impeccable contemporary design.

After an initial refined version in ethical rose gold, the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono takes flight in new finery. Chopard is presenting its chronograph in a case measuring 44mm in diameter, water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters, and newly machined from Lucent Steel A223. Hidden behind this mysterious name is an alloy developed by the manufacturer especially for the collection. What makes it special? It delivers 50% more hardness than other steels. It also has a unique shine while having anti-allergenic properties. For these variants, the dials are available in blue and black, both embellished with a singular radiating pattern meant to evoke the iris of an eagle. Above, the data is arranged in a traditional fashion. Time is measured by the central seconds hand and the hands of the 30-minute and 12-hour counters located at 3 and 9 o’clock respectively. The inclusion of a red border makes it easier to read. The window at 4:40 displays the date. The small second hand is located at 6 o’clock.

These sporty-looking watches are equipped with the 03.05-C self-winding movement with a chronograph and flyback function. Its barrel delivers 60 hours of power reserve. Its chronometric properties are also certified by the COSC. A stop-second system ensures the time is set accurately. The Alpine Eagle XL Chrono can be worn either on a rubber wristband matching the dial or made of the same metal as the case. Aesthetic flawlessness!
