ALPINE EAGLE 41 XPS Chopard

ALPINE EAGLE 41 XPS Chopard

A RADIANT FIGURE

Like a gentle sun shining on the wrist, this new ultra-thin model crafted from recycled steel and powered by a powerful self-winding movement has earned dual certification for its chronometric precision and craftsmanship.

Since the launch of the Alpine Eagle in 2019, both the collection and its reputation have continued to grow. Inspired by the 1980s St. Moritz model designed by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, who later became co-president of Chopard, and brought back into the spotlight by his son Karl-Fritz 40 years later, this family of watches, with its sporty look and architectural design, has notably introduced Lucent SteelTM, a steel alloy containing 80% recycled metal, and won over new wearers. It now welcomes an additional model: a luminous, ultra-thin version of the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS.

Double-certified, for its chronometric performance by the COSC and for its fine craftsmanship by the prestigious Geneva Hallmark (Poinçon de Genève), this watch features a striking, slender silhouette, as its case, machined from Lucent SteelTM, measures 41 mm in diameter and is just 8 mm thick.

The case, water-resistant to a depth of 100m, features a caseback with a sapphire crystal window that reveals the mechanics of the L.U.C 96.40-L caliber, an automatic movement wound by a micro-rotor made of ethically sourced gold. It incorporates Chopard Twin® technology, two stacked barrels, for an impressive power reserve of up to 65 hours. Surprising in both its surface and color, the dial consists of a brass base stamped to reproduce the pattern of an aquiline iris and tinted via a galvanic treatment with a sunburst champagne finish known as “mountain glow.” The hours and minutes are indicated in the center by a pair of baton-shaped hands, while the seconds tick away in an azure counter at 6 o’clock.
