alpina startimer pilot quartz gmt

Placing the GMT feature within reach of all travellers – this is the goal of Alpina, with the affordable, robust and reliable Startimer Pilot.

What time is it in Hong Kong when I’m in Paris? Can I call him at his office? There’s no shortage of questions when you are travelling from one country to another. The GMT feature, which displays two time zones on the same dial, is much appreciated by modern nomads and businessmen. It’s highly practical and helps us see in an instant what time it is in the country we’re visiting and our home country, for example. With the Startimer Pilot GMT, Alpina offers simple and affordable access to this type of display. As well as the showing the regular hours and minutes, a third hand with a red and white triangle at the tip points to a 24-hour scale placed on the chapter ring, together with a bicoloured day/night indicator. A date counter at 3 o’clock rounds off the information. With this watch, you won’t be disoriented in time!

The features are driven by a Swiss quartz movement, providing 25 months of autonomy. They are all easily adjusted using the crown. In the first position, when you turn the crown downwards, you can set the GMT hand. When you turn the crown upwards, it sets the date. In the second position, you can set the hour and minute hands.

The Startimer Pilot GMT is available in two versions. The 42mm-wide case is water-resistant down to 100 metres and comes in a steel version or with black PVD coating, giving it a more dynamic look. The timepiece is fitted with a black or grey nylon strap, depending on the version.

Price: €550 (steel) – €595 (steel, black PVD)
