LOOKING FOR SPOCK
To mark the opening of its lounge nestling in New York’s Manhattan district, the Geneva-based brand has unveiled an incredibly-elegant 25-piece edition.

From Geneva’s M.A.D.Gallery to NY’s Madison Avenue. The address fits like a glove. What other iconic thoroughfare could have been chosen as home to the Geneva brand’s new American landmark? This venue, located in an Art Deco-style building clad with black granite, among other materials, “has been designed as a welcoming extension of the MB&F universe. Rather than a traditional point of sale, it offers a place where collectors, watch enthusiasts, and friends of the brand can discover MB&F‘s creations at a more relaxed pace, surrounded by mechanical art, thoughtful design and conversation”, states the press release announcing the inauguration of the Friends’ second own-name store. To celebrate the event, a Legacy Machine 101 LM101 EVO NYC limited series was center staged.

This 2014-launched model stands out this time round with its novel features. Its 40 mm rose gold case is paired with a sunray-brushed black dial plate. This stylistic choice adds depth to the timepiece’s original scenography. On top, the 14 mm-diameter flying balance wheel, supported by its polished arches, along with the subdials used to display the hours, minutes and power reserve (60 hours) are clearly visible thanks to the contrast created. Like the previous 2025 iterations, the LM101 EVO NYC incorporates the FlexRing system, which boosts the sturdiness of the piece and absorbs shocks along multiple axes. What’s more, to ensure it can be used no matter the conditions of everyday life, its case equipped with a screw-down crown boasts proven water resistance down to depths of 80 meters.
