TRIP THE LIGHT FANTASTIC
Through this 50-piece limited edition, the Saxony manufacture writes a totally-transparent, subtle, classy new chapter in the saga of Lumen watches.

Since 2013, A. Lange & Söhne has been exalting some of its creations with the Lumen signature, where light becomes a real stylistic expression. After the Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase, la Datograph Up/Down and the Zeitwerk Honeygold, it’s now the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar‘s turn to dress up in this spectacular nighttime identity.
Perpetual calendar information comes to life, under the translucent dial, thanks to Super-LumiNova®. The instant-jump large date, hour and minute hands, retrograde day display, month ring, moon phases, and leap-year indicator as such dazzle in the dark and offer a fascinating feast for the eyes. Special treatment applied to the sapphire crystal allows ultraviolet rays to pass through the dial and charge the luminous pigments.
This architecture also unveils some of the 685 components included in the Lange manufacture caliber L225.1. This automatic movement delivers some 50 hours of energy to the perpetual calendar, whose indications only require one manual correction on March 1st, 2100 if the watch is kept running continuously. This beating heart, nestling inside a 41.9 mm platinum case also reveals the Saxony brand’s decorative virtuosity. A diamond-crowned tourbillon can be seen through the sapphire-crystal back consorting with the black-polished finish of the cock and intermediate-wheel cock. Hand-engraving, play on light, and elegant details set off this piece where state-of-the-artness and resplendent poetry merge brilliantly.
