ESCALE ŒIL-DE-TIGRE Louis Vuitton

ESCALE ŒIL-DE-TIGRE Louis Vuitton

A FELINE FACE

Following the platinum editions with turquoise and malachite dials, the Parisian maison continues its journey into the heart of mineral beauty with a new yellow gold timepiece.

Since its founding and drawing on its “roots” as a trunk maker, Louis Vuitton has never ceased to dream of faraway places, to cross borders to explore the globe, and to unearth hidden treasures or other rare objects. Following the platinum editions with dials adorned with turquoise and malachite discs presented in 2025, the Parisian maison’s globetrotting watch has set out to explore new minerals – colorful, luminous, unique, and even mysterious – much like the iconic ornamental stone used to create the Escale Œil-de-tigre model.

Adorned with a sailor-striped pattern featuring randomly sized bands in the warm, shimmering hues typical of the great big cat, this symbol of strength, protection, and balance graces the dial and case of a new Escale. Its yellow gold case, much like the wide flange punctuated by markers at the cardinal points that evoke Louis Vuitton trunks, measures 40mm in diameter and 10.34mm in thickness. At the center of this dial, nuanced in gold and brown, a pair of spear-shaped hands and a slender seconds hand indicate the hours, minutes, and seconds. This watch with a wild look is tamed by the rhythm of the LFT023 in-house caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement vibrating at the standard frequency of 4hz, designed and developed in the workshops of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva. Assembled from 147 components, it also features a rose gold micro-rotor and provides a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
