REMEMBERING VICTORY
This 70-piece limited series, released to celebrate the 70th anniversary of an incomparable feat on the route between Brescia and Rome, pays tribute to a legendary champion.

Stirling Moss, recognized as one of the 20th-century’s best drivers, made his mark in Formula 1, as well as in a host of other events such as the Mille Miglia which he won in 1955 when he broke the race record. Chopard pays tribute to him through this Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss edition. This chronograph stands out with its silvered dial which conjures up the bodywork of the Mercedes 300 SLR, the car with which the British champ won the mythical Italian race.
The layout of the time data center staged in the 40.5 mm-diameter case crafted in Lucent SteelTM, the manufacture’s recycled metal, gives the watch a super sporty look. A tachymetric scale encircles the hour chapter made up of large numerals, counters dedicated to measuring time, as well as the small seconds. What’s more a X1 Super-LumiNova® coating ensures everything is ever-so easy to read no matter the conditions of light. All the data is driven meticulously be a selfwinding movement (boasting a power reserve of some 56 hours). Like all the firm’s beating hearts, this caliber’s accuracy is chronometer-certified by the COSC. The sapphire-crystal caseback unveils an oscillating weight adorned with a checkered flag and a Union Jack. An engraving in Italian showcases Sir Stirling Moss’s winning race time: 10 hours 7 minutes 40 seconds, i.e. an average speed of 157.65 km/h. A feat that has gone down in history.
