EVER HIGHER
With this 250-piece limited edition, the brand rolls out its lightest-ever watch in its Alpine Eagle collection. What’s more, this feat is completed by outstanding performances.

Chopard pursues its adventures into the realm of high frequency with this third opus, which follows on from the models showcased in 2021 and 2023. The Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8FH‘s hour and minute hands are driven by Caliber 01.14-C, which beats at 57,600 vibrations an hour, i.e. 8 Hz. The manufacture went for an almost totally monochrome scenography for this series. The titanium dial, stamped with a pitch-black radiating pattern inspired by an eagle’s iris, reigns inside a lightweight yet sturdy 41 mm-diameter, 9.75 mm-high microblasted, ceramized grade 5 titanium case, waterproof to depths of 100 meters. This treatment boosts the watch’s shock and scratch resistance. A few dashes of orange help jazz things up a bit. Time reading is nonetheless incredibly easy no matter the conditions of light, thanks to the use of Cool Gray Super-LumiNova®. For a perfectly-fitting finish, this timepiece is worn on a black or orange rubber strap or an optional calfskin wraparound.
The selfwinding movement is assembled using some 210 components, including a silicon pallet lever and escapement wheel, which means less lubricant is needed. This material also ensures the lightness required for energy to be managed optimally. And, the result? Even though a substantial amount of energy’s required to ensure constant high frequency, this beating heart delivers a power reserve of 60 hours to all the pieces in this series. It also guarantees no-holds-barred accuracy, endorsed through its COSC chronometer certification.
