PEDAL TO THE METAL
The brand has just rolled out a model with a new caliber, ahead of the Thailand Grand Prix, the first of the 2026-season’s world motorcycle road racing championship events.

Since 2001, Tissot has been making its mark in MotoGPTM with an ever more efficient timekeeping system. In the same vein, limited editions boasting evocative design have been taking their inspiration from the prestigious competition since 2003. This year, with the start of the season looking set to be a thrilling one, the brand showcases its T-Race MotoGPTM Automatic Chronograph produced in 2,026 pieces. A host of stylistic details offer a tip of the hat to parts specific to the vitamin-boosted two-wheelers, like the brake disc around the crown and the different shaped pushers.
This model isn’t just a simple upgrade as it stands out with its new caliber, the skeletonized Valjoux A05.951, unveiled through the openworked dial and sapphire-crystal back of the 45 mm-diameter, 14.79 mm-thick case. What’s more, many of the selfwinding movement components enhance the watch’s sporty look. A look that’s magnified even more thanks to the black PVD bezel with its carbon composite insert. And, to reach a comfortable power reserve of 68 hours, energy distribution has been optimized. “The rotor movement is facilitated by a ball bearing mechanism that guarantees smooth, uninterrupted operation, while reducing friction and wear”, states Tissot. Its NivachronTM balance spring also makes the caliber insensitive to magnetic fields. A shock-absorption system, the Nivachoc A, protects the watch’s functioning, even under challenging conditions.
