SWISS ALP WATCH FINAL UPGRADE H. Moser & Cie

SWISS ALP WATCH FINAL UPGRADE H. Moser & Cie

UPDATE COMPLETED

The manufacture, established in Schaffhausen since 1828, says goodbye to its famous rectangular watch in its usual elegant and humorous way, with an ultimate version as black as a turned-off screen.

Occasionally the role of a watch far exceeds the simple function of telling the time. It can also become an envoy delivering an announcement, an idea, a desire. Here, in H. Moser & Cie, having a timepiece convey a message has become a habit which is always infused with a lot of elegance and a dash of humor. This was the case in 2016 when the Swiss Alp Watch was born just a few months after the launch of a smartwatch from which it loosely draws its inspiration to denounce the boom in connected timepieces and to reiterate the values which traditional watchmaking epitomizes. Five years after its creation, an ultimate version known as Swiss Alp Final Upgrade marks the end of this wonderful adventure.

It stays true to H. Moser & Cie’s Concept, as it is logo- and index-free and only features a pair of blackened leaf-shaped hour and minute hands. The seconds are displayed in a special counter set at 6 o’clock, largely inspired by the egg timer, this rounded sun-shaped timer which appears on mobile phone screens whenever an update or app loading has ended.

The rectangular black DLC-coated steel case (38.2 x 44 mm) hosts the HMC324 caliber, a hand-wound manufacture movement which delivers an amazing power reserve of 96 hours.
