SRV Tissot

A FUTURE CLASSIC

Elegant, modern, geometric… there’s no end to the adjectives that can be used to describe Art Deco which is celebrating its centenary this year. These newcomers boast the exact same traits.

The new pieces in the SRV collection take advantage of the timeless codes of the decorative arts born some 100 years ago to center stage creations which flaunt really assertive, graphic and streamlined style. Tissot has drawn from its rich heritage to craft a 21.8 x 30 mm slimline steel case, with perfectly-balanced proportions, for the models in this range, which are resolutely feminine. Some iterations stand out with their beige gold PVD or yellow gold PVD coating which adds an extra dash of warmth. SRV aka Sapphire Rectangle V watches are also set apart with their sapphire crystal faceted like a precious gem. The letter ‘V’ reminds us that their case boasts 5-bar resistance and, as such, is waterproof to depths of 50 meters. Last but not least, the bracelets fashioned with metal links and the alternative leather straps are all easily interchangeable and bring out the personality of each variation.

The dials take on a sunray blue, green, red, or silvered hue. Two references leave their mark with their white or black mother-of-pearl dials. The composition is ever-so pure, no matter the version chosen. Two Roman numerals, at 12 and 6 o’clock, or four savvily-positioned diamonds are the only features that serve as time markers. The fine hour and minute hands on top are driven by a quartz movement equipped with a battery End of Life (EOL) indicator. The direct-drive jumps every four seconds to inform the wearer that it’s time to change the battery.
