IT’S GOT THE POWER!
Exploring the stylistic and technical possibilities offered by unconventional geometry is what the Nyon watchmaker focused on for this radical creation.

Since Hublot launched its third collection in 2022, the firm has been constantly pushing back the limits of the one-of-a-kind geometry of a square container. For its 42 mm-length, 13.2 mm-thick Square Bang Tourbillon 4 Day Power Reserve model, the manufacture combines a high-tech case with one of the most prestigious movement complications: the tourbillon. The 3D carbon fibers, woven vertically and horizontally, gift the watch with a resolutely up-to-the-minute look. This personality’s boosted even more given the absence of a dial.
This option center stages the somewhat special geometry of the MHUB6023 caliber. This device is put together with black-plated sharp-angled mesh elements instead of typical rounded bridges. The scenography rolled out creates an ethereal structure that allows each of the 174 components to play a leading role. “Until now, advances in square watches have been rather timid, usually confined to the case alone. With the Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve, we wanted to take the exercise to its logical conclusion, by designing a movement whose architecture is also fully right-angled”, states Julien Tornare, Hublot’s CEO. As well as boasting hour and minute hands, adorned, like the markers, with Super-LumiNova® to offer readability that’s second to none, the steady gyrations of the regulating device equipped with a silicon escapement, poised at 6 o’clock, bring the composition to life. The power reserve indicator nestling at 9 o’clock lets the watch-wearer know how much energy’s left out of the four-day autonomy delivered by the manual-wind movement. In short, performance has found a perfect home.
