SLIM LA SOURCE DE PÉGASE Hermès

WINGS OF LIGHT

These two works of art, infused with a poetic soul, imagined by the Parisian brand and to be worn on the wrist, whisk us off to a fabulous fantasy world during a colorful horse ride.

Just like its emblem embodied by a horse, colors are an integral part of Hermès personality and every single piece of work issued by the Parisian house, across all domains, is always an extravagant feast for the eyes. The illustration, a real fireworks display, imagined by Pierre Marie, the 39-year-old artist who describes himself as a “designer ornamentist”, pursues its route from the silk scarf for which it was created to the wrist. As such, the famous white horse with wings from Greek mythology now transposed to the dials of two Slim La Source de Pégase, takes flight in a tourbillon of colors.

Its dial espouses several techniques: champlevé enameling to compose the radiant décor which boasts a host of layers for Pegasus’ relieve-style body, and straw marquetry to adorn its wings with flamboyant colors.
