ROYAL OAK FROSTED GOLD AUTOMATIC Audemars Piguet

PARADISE AZUR

The jewelry technique of hammering, literally a signature of the Le Brassus brand, here applied to white gold, forms a ravishing combination with the azure of the famous checkerboard dial.

“The soul has the color of one’s gaze. The blue soul alone bears dreams, it has captured its azure from the waves and space”. This lyrical quote by the French writer Guy de Maupassant (1850-1893) perfectly captures the feeling when seeing the new Royal Oak Frosted Gold Automatic. Indeed, the watch by Audemars Piguet is as stunningly beautiful as it is fascinating, with its silhouette, alternating polished and hammered surfaces in the age-old technique brought up to date by Carolina Bucci. She is the jewelry designer who has been collaborating with the Le Brassus brand since 2016 and has made this very special work of the material a signature in its own right, and its bluish, luminous dial.

This movement, providing 50 hours of power reserve, drives the essentials of time, namely the hours, minutes, seconds, and calendar.

It operates thanks to a trio of central hands that hover over a tower of faceted applique hours, all coated with white luminescent material. The date is discreetly displayed in black on an azure background at 3 o’clock.

To continue the pleasure of the sparkling hammering of the case, the white gold link bracelet has also been “frosted”. It fastens to the wrist with a folding clasp.
