In support of one of the most exciting regattas to be held on St. Barts, Richard Mille proposes a limited series flying high the colors of the paradisiacal French West Indian island.
Les Voiles de St Barth regatta, which takes place in a breathtaking scenescape, has been a must-not-miss date since 2010, with over 1,000 sailors on-board some 80 vessels. Here, competitors vie in 7 different categories over 5 days. Unfortunately, the covid-19 pandemic and local health measures rolled out has meant that the event could not be run in 2020 and 2021. To support this race for which Richard Mille is the first-line partner, the brand has launched an 80-piece limited edition, the RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Les Voiles de St Barth. All the proceeds from the sale of one of the pieces will be donated to local causes on the island.
Besides measuring time with the flyback function, this timepiece also boasts a 60-minute-graduated countdown timer at 9 o’clock. It also features a UTC complication. The red hand can hover over a second time zone. It can also be used as a wayfinder in the Northern and Southern hemispheres. You just need to point the hand towards the sun, then use the cardinal points set on the rotating bezel fashioned in Carbon TPT®.
All the time data is driven by the selfwinding RMAC2 caliber (55-hour power reserve). This movement is perfectly protected in the Carbon TPT® and titanium case, waterproof to depths of 100 m. This edition takes on the ocean’s turquoise hues, enhanced with dashes of sunny yellow and passion red.
