RM 07-01 COLORED CERAMICS Richard Mille

SOFT ENERGY

Inspired by Miami’s Art Deco architecture and the hotels lining Ocean Drive, the watch brand’s trio of limited editions is adorned in designs as colorful and delicious as a fruit juice cocktail!

In the late 1920s, Miami was partially renovated in a more “tropical” Art Deco style than in Europe, combining round and square, bright and pastel colors. It is in this distinctive Floridian architecture, embodied by the hotels lining the mythical Ocean Drive, that Richard Mille delved to imagine a trio of editions adorned with soft hues, limited to 50 timepieces per reference. In addition to their energetic allure and technical proficiency, these new RM 07-01 Colored Ceramics answer to the pleasant names of Pastel Blue, Pastel Pink, and Pastel Lavender.

It encircles a rhodium-plated red gold dial, framed by a matching ceramic band and a flange with curved drop-like hour markers. In the center, like a painting on the walls of a museum, lies a patchwork of rubber fragments in a variety of colors and patterns, enhanced by a handmade guilloche pattern as rich as a mandala. Two hands with luminescent tips, like the indexes, display the hours and minutes.
