PRIMALUNA MOOPHASE AUTOMATIC Longines

OBJECTS OF PURE DELIGHT

With these ever-so classy upgrades, driven by high-performing movements, the winged-hourglass brand offers to dress up the wrists of style-conscious ladies.

It’s always pretty delicate when you wish to revamp an iconic case. You must ensure the timepiece’s personality isn’t altered in any way. Longines has got it exactly right with these snazzy upgrades rolled out in the PrimaLuna women’s watch collection. All the Moonphase Automatic references in the 2025 edition boast one of three faces imagined with a focus on up-to-the-minute elegance. A first features a silvered dial, set off with blue or black Roman numerals, encircled by a rose or yellow gold bezel which may be strewn with diamonds. Another variation pairs white mother-of-pearl with diamonds that take on the role of markers. The third combines blue mother-of-pearl exalted by 14 diamonds and a bezel adorned with 48 azure-hued sapphires totaling 1.06 carats.

All these references boast a 34 mm-diameter steel case. This holder with its timeless design hosts the L899.5 caliber. This selfwinding movement equipped with a silicon spring withstands the negative effects of magnetic fields and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours. Over this lapse of time, the beating heart meticulously drives the small hand of the date display as well as the Moon phases, both portrayed in a disc at 6 o’clock. The PrimaLuna Moonphase Automatic is worn on a metal bracelet or alligator strap, depending on the iteration chosen. Other upgrades will be added to the range before the end of the year, namely 34 mm 3-hand models and 30 mm variations, all brought to life by a quartz caliber.
