A DOUBLE COLLECTOR’S ITEM
On the occasion of this new and exciting collaboration, the Roman watchmaker presents its first Octo Finissimo fitted with only two hands. Awarded, sold?
No need to await the dull thump of the hammer closing the auction to acquire one of the 50 pieces of this Bulgari Octo Finissimo Special Edition Phllips model! Indeed, for the first time, the watchmaker has teamed up with the famous London auction house Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo to create an exclusive timepiece produced in a limited series. Its main feature? The watch’s iconic design serves as an original composition on the dial. Thus, the hour circle, the numerals 6 and 12, and the minute scale participate in a graphic scenography highlighted by a subtle detail, the unusual design of the bezel reminiscent of the octagon of the case. Another distinction that sets this model apart from the classic references in the collection is the absence of a small seconds hand normally positioned at 7 o’clock. The visual impact is impressive.
In this version, the 40mm diameter titanium case with a sandblasted finish is combined with an integrated wristband made of links machined from the same material and closed with a folding clasp. This case protects the powerful BVL 138 caliber with a platinum micro-rotor. This extremely thin self-winding movement, only 2.23mm thick, provides 60 hours of power reserve. The sapphire caseback stamped with the Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo logo allows the discovery of its plate and certain of its elements. It should be noted that each timepiece of this Octo Finissimo series is exclusively available at the Phillips Watches boutique.
