AQUA NEOMATIK SIREN WHITE
SIREN WHITE FOR WRISTS
With its two new Ahoi and Club watches joining the Aqua collection, the brand from Saxony carries us away to white sandy beaches beside crystal-clear waters.
Generally, when summer comes, we are drawn to lightness, coolness and bright pastel colours. Dark, sombre outfits are relegated to the back of the wardrobe! And we opt for tones to match our new tan, echoing the sun’s rays, and for the lucky ones, the crystal-clear waters of the sea. So to give summer a fitting welcome, Nomos has released two new watches with an immaculate white hue to join the Aqua collection: the Ahoi Neomatik and Club Neomatik.
Each piece in this visually similar duo is driven by the calibre DUW 3001, a self-winding movement designed in-house by the brand from Saxony. The ultra-slim calibre (just 3.2mm thick) drives the hours, minutes and seconds, while providing a power reserve of 43 hours.
While they both have the same beating heart, the steel cases on the two models have different widths, 36mm for the Ahoi Neomatik and 37mm for the Club Neomatik, and with a slender thickness between 9.27 and 9.55 mm. These metal settings are clearly meant to be worn in a watery environment, whether on a boat or beside the swimming pool, since they are watertight down to 200m.
While the colour code is identical on both watches – “siren” white and bright red with a few touches of blue lume, including on the central hands – the difference between them lies in the layout of the time features. The hour rim on the Ahoi Neomatik has very slender, almost ethereal elements, embodied by long Arabic numerals interspersed with stick-shaped hour markers, and all coloured red. The minimalist minute track has markers coated in light grey Super-LumiNova®. As for the running seconds counter at 6 o’clock, it houses a small second hand moving around a scale with blue Arabic figures. For the Club Neomatik, the information on the dial is more visible, such as the curved Arabic numerals and the hour markers coated in green-glowing red Super-LumiNova® and blue figures on the minute track.
To underline the summer spirit of the watches, Nomos has designed a strap made of light-grey French-made fabric, with water-resistant material that will dry in the twinkling of an eye.
Price: 2,500 EUR (Club model) – 3,240 EUR (Ahoi model)
