The Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring whisks one of TAG Heuer‘s icons off to a resolutely avant-garde realm. This version conjures an unprecedented encounter between up-to-the-minute watch architecture and a mechanical innovation. In short, although this model boasts the signature 39 mm-sided case, it stands out through the material chosen, forged carbon, which infuses it with a futuristic look. The texture and surface also center stages a mineral aspect through the gray hues covering the dial. The virtually-monochrome, low-key scenography plays on geometric shapes to ensure fascinating reading of time. What’s more, every random pattern that’s intrinsic to the composite means that each piece in this limited series is totally one of a kind.
This upgrade isn’t just about style though! The brand has placed the highly-accurate, COSC-chronometer-certified Caliber TH20-60 inside this model. This selfwinding movement brings the hour and minute hands to life. It also ensures short-cycle time sessions can be measured precisely via its flyback function. This mechanism also sets the pace through its regulating device. The TH-Carbonspring comes complete with an exclusive carbon composite hairspring, the result of ten years of research. “Its anti-magnetic structure shields it from the invisible interference of magnetic fields, while exceptional shock resistance safeguards stability even in the harshest conditions.
