To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the GTS aka Grand Turismo Sport range, and as the legendary Italian race comes around, the manufacture rolled out a sporty, classy limited series.
Chopard, official timekeeper for the 1000 Miglia since 1988, has forged a close bond with this extraordinary motor endurance event. This round trip between Brescia and Rome regularly gives the manufacture an opportunity to honor the sporting spirit that thrives in this competition through outstanding limited editions. To commemorate 38 years of unwavering partnership, this year’s issue, the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control 2025 Race Edition, stands out with its salmon-hued dial, a color obtained using galvanic treatment, hosted in a 43 mm-diameter, 11.43 mm-thick case crafted in Lucent SteelTM, waterproof to depths of 100 meters.
Essential time data reigns in streamlined scenography. The hour and minute hands hover over the traditional hour chapter made up of markers and highlighted by an XL-sized number 12. The date nestles at 3 o’clock, the small seconds at 6, and a power reserve display at 9 boasts design inspired by a fuel gauge. This composition emphasizes uncompromising efficiency. This also characterizes the caliber of this elegant timepiece. The selfwinding 01.02-M movement, assembled using some 240 components, dazzles through its performance. As well as delivering a comfortable power reserve of at least 60 hours, this device is one of a kind thanks to its incredible accuracy granted chronometer certification by the COSC. What’s more, the oscillating weight, visible via the sapphire-crystal caseback, features a vintage-looking steering wheel. From bygone days to today, style has always been a matter of detail.
