GRAND LADY KALLA Vacheron Constantin

DAZZLING IS AN ART

The manufacture unveils an exceptional trio that brilliantly center stages the art of stone-setting and versatility. Each piece turns into a watch, a sautoir, bracelet, or pendant.

The realm of decorative arts is celebrating its centenary this year and this artistic movement continues to inspire contemporary creations. Vacheron Constantin‘s Grand Lady Kalla jewelry watches illustrate this majestically. Their geometric rigor and their sensuous look merges with the sparkle of astutely-set precious gems. The three variations share the same white gold case (19.4 x 30.1 x 8.3 mm), entirely adorned with ten emerald-cut diamonds and, based on the model, with two rubies, sapphires, or emeralds. Its dial glitters with 14 diamonds. “The deliberately-discreet cases serve as a backdrop for setting the stones, which shine in all their glory. The Kalla line is totally in keeping with this celebration of the diamond”, emphasizes Sandrine Donguy, Product and Innovation Director.

No matter the option chosen, time is read gracefully and is perfectly accurate thanks to the quartz 1212 caliber, just 2.5 mm thick, that brings the white gold hour and minute hands to life. Its three-row rivière bracelet prolongs this shimmering composition. With its 103 diamonds and eight precious stones that differ based on the iteration, the Grand Lady Kalla epitomizes the very essence of watch jewelry. One version comprises 49.72 carats of sapphires, another 49.85 carats of rubies. As for the last, it makes its mark with its 35.72 carats of emeralds. They all enchant too with their ability to become an 85 cm-long sautoir made up of 112 Akoya pearls, without any need for a tool. Each is accompanied by the designer’s original hand-painted gouache of the piece. Exquisite art!
