DEFY EXTREME FELIPE PANTONE Zenith

DEFY EXTREME FELIPE PANTONE Zenith

KINETIC ART

This new limited edition of 100 timepieces completes a further chapter in the collaboration between the contemporary artist and the manufacturer with the star that began in 2020.

In the Defy Extreme Felipe Pantone watch signed by Zenith, discover the original chromatic universe so dear to the Spanish Argentinean artist. The various elements of the timepiece are thus distinguished by the multiple shades adorning them. The dial is enhanced with an iridescent effect pattern. The hour and minute hands, along with the oscillating weight that can be seen through the sapphire caseback, have a three-dimensional rainbow gradient coating of metallic colors. The 30-minute subdial at 3 o’clock features a colorful graduated scale, while the seconds subdial at 6 o’clock is composed of concentric black and white lines resulting in a moiré pattern.

The 45mm diameter steel case is also enhanced by a twelve-sided bezel and push-button protectors made of translucent blue yttrium aluminosilicate (YAS). The watch case is paired with a transparent azure silicone wristband finished with a folding clasp. Another wristband with a Velcro® closure is included. As with all Defy Extreme chronographs, this model is powered by a self-winding movement providing 50 hours of power reserve. The high-frequency El Primero 9004 caliber, 360,000 vibrations per hour for the chronograph, measures time to the nearest 1/100th of a second. A second regulating organ pulsating at 5Hz is reserved for the other time data. The ensemble forms a kinetic creation mixing with brilliance technique and colored geometric forms, a work straight out of the Felipe Pantone universe!
