DB28 GS GRAND BLEU
BROUGHT TO LIGHT
With an exceptional presence on the wrist and a strong design, De Bethune timepieces do not fail to leave an impression as this sports watch equipped with a unique lighting system demonstrates.
Since 2002, De Bethune has marked its territory in the realm of fine contemporary watchmaking with calibers developed inhouse, several patents and a unique and easily identifiable style. This year, the company has decided to leave its comfort zone and venture into the deep by adding the first divers’ watch to its catalog. While the DB28 GS Grand Bleu still retains the collection’s inherent qualities such as the structured openwork dial on which the hour and minute hands operate, it stands out with its unidirectional rotating bezel.
A very practical function has also been incorporated into the timepiece enabling the time information and the caliber to be lit up at will regardless of the surrounding light conditions. To achieve an effective result, a mechanism similar to a bicycle dynamo produces a white-bluish light. Simply pressing the pusher at 6 o’clock activates a gear train which provides enough energy to produce the lighting.
A 44 mm titanium case, water-resistant up to a depth of 100 m, combined with a zirconium case band protect the complex manual-winding movement composed of 400 parts (5-day power reserve). Connoisseurs will appreciate the floating arch-shaped lugs which mold perfectly to any wrist. Two straps, one made of rubber, the other made of canvas and leather, mean the DB28 GS Grand Bleu can be adapted to any style.
