COMMANDER DATODAY Mido

JAZZ UP YOUR STYLE

For anyone wishing to stand out without being over the top, the brand offers an appealing upgrade of one of its signature creations that comes with a high-performing, up-to-the-minute caliber.

It has been sixty-seven years now since the Commander model first hit the Swiss watch scene. This timepiece, launched by Mido in 1959, has always made its mark with its functional low-keyness. The new Commander Datoday‘s no exception to this rule. A large opening center stages its sunray-brushed deep-green dial. On top, the flat diamond-cut hour and minute hands hover over an hour chapter made up of short rectangular markers. The day and date are displayed in a similar-style sharp-edged geometrical aperture. A highly-accurate minute tracker runs round the layered flange. Data is ever-so easy to read in this well-spaced scenography, set off with dashes of Super-LumiNova®.

All this time information reigns inside a 40 mm-diameter, satin-brushed and polished steel case, coated with rose gold PVD, complemented by an integrated link bracelet, crafted in the same metal and boasting the same finish. All these features infuse the Commander Datoday with an assertive chic & sporty look. A quick-change system lets the wearer choose an optional strap without needing to use a tool. Everything is brought to life by the effective Caliber 80, beating at 21,600 vibrations an hour, equipped with a NivachronTM balance spring that resists shocks and the negative effects of magnetic fields. It oscillating weight, decorated with Côtes de Genève stripes is unveiled through the sapphire-crystal back. With its three-day power reserve, this colorful reference is a perfect everyday partner, sure to brighten up even the dullest day!
