CLASSY OPTIONS
These wonderfully low-key, new-look variations unveiled by the Le Brassus manufacture exalt the timeless personality and elegant style inherent to this range.

Audemars Piguet hit the headlines with its Code 11.59 collection. When its first references were showcased in 2019, some stated their design was not disruptive enough when compared with the manufacture’s icon, the Royal Oak. Seven years on and thanks to iterations that embrace much-loved complications and charming dials, the watch is no longer controversial. Quite the opposite actually! The 38 mm-diameter, 9.6 mm-high versions retain the assets of the original model and enhance them even more by gifting the watch with an extra dose of versatility. The latest variations to date which come with a rose gold case are prime examples of this. These references suit both women and men to a T, with their black alligator and brown calfskin straps.
Their dials feature the Code 11.59 signature pattern. The concentric circles on the black and silver dials conjure up ripples playing with light on the surface of water. As such, the watch’s face is forever changing, occasionally dusky, sometimes dazzling. The slender hour and minute hands on top hover over an hour chapter made up of markers, fringed by a minute tracker running round the flange. The date aperture is still at 3 o’clock, just like on the 41 mm pieces. Time data is driven by caliber 5900. This selfwinding movement, assembled using some 188 components, delivers a power reserve of 60 hours. Here, with the Code 11.59 39 mm, performance mingles marvelously with elegance.
