BIG BANG TOURBILLON SAMUEL ROSS Hublot

BIG BANG TOURBILLON SAMUEL ROSS Hublot

DISRUPTIVE LUXURY

This debut collaboration between the Nyon-based watchmaker and the English designer blasts traditional aesthetic codes by offering an innovative visual alternative.

As the founder of, among others, the A Cold Wall brand in 2015 and the SR_A design studio in 2019, Samuel Ross develops original universes by mixing industrial materials with flair. This atypical personality with his sparkling creativity appealed to Hublot. An ambassador since 2020, the young British designer collaborated with the manufacturer to sign a limited series of 50 pieces this year incorporating his graphic affinities. Thus, the Samuel Ross Big Bang Tourbillon boasts a 44mm diameter satin-finished titanium case of singular shape. The hexagonal bezel displays entirely original lines. These are combined with a surprising honeycomb mesh pattern linking to the orange rubber wristband. This pattern also embellishes the dial.

On top of this openworked composition, a pair of round hands adorned with SuperLuminova® are displayed. The same luminescent material graces the six symmetrically placed hour markers. This airy setting is counterbalanced by the presence of the tourbillon at 6 o’clock and its micro-rotor at 12 o’clock, a positioning unique to the HUB6035 caliber. This movement composed of 282 components is a major novelty in 2022, previously unveiled with the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Carbon 45mm and the surprising Purple Sapphire. This exceptional mechanism is characterized by its sapphire bridges along with its winding system equipped with ceramic ball bearings. It also provides a generous power reserve of 72 hours, or 3 days.
