ARCEAU LE TEMPS VOYAGEUR AND L’HEURE DE LA LUNE Hermès

INTO THE REALM OF IMAGINARY JOURNEYS

The Parisian house invites to discover enthralling stylistic upgrades of two of its iconic state-of-the-art models now featuring ever-so shrewd combinations of materials.

Three variations of HermèsArceau L’heure de la Lune watch are center staged in a limited edition of just 12 sets. On their dial crafted from pieces of meteorite, we discover the original ballet of the two counters that display the hours and minutes, along with the date. This duo orbits the dial in a regular 59-day dance. During this period, the lunar cycles for the Northern and Southern hemispheres are unveiled simultaneously. Each piece boasts a two-tone 43 mm-diameter case. One blends white gold with a blue DLC-treated titanium bezel, another merges rose gold with gray, circular satin-brushed, DLC titanium. The last one mixes white gold and rose gold. Here, the choices are far from being just frivolous. All the hues are in perfect harmony with the ones that adorn the dials.

The Arceau Le Temps Voyageur pursues the same bold spirit and offers us new adornments. The data scenography takes on a deep-relief-styled face set off with an imaginary world map of an equestrian planet contrived by the illustrator Jérôme Colliard. This composition is revealed as the disc displaying local time rotates. World time portrayed through the name of the 24 time-zone cities and a semi-circular aperture at 12 o’clock ensure you keep your bearings no matter where you roam. The feminine counterpart of the 41 mm-diameter case stands out with its 3 mm smaller size. Here, rose gold dazzles thanks to the addition of 78 diamonds. Hermès wishes to remind us that time is precious.
