EXCELLENCE EVERY DAY
The manufacture unveiled its newcomers during Watches & Wonders 2025. Among these, a watch from the chic ‘n’ sporty collection center staged the virtues of one of the most precious materials of all.

XP, for “extra plate”, extra thin in English. CS for central second. It’s a well-known formula. Nonetheless, Chopard manages to make it even more desirable with its Alpine Eagle 41 XP CS Platinum model. For the first time ever, the slim 41 mm-diameter, 8 mm-thick case introduced in 2022 and which can resist pressure equal to depths of 100 meters, is crafted in 950 platinum, one of the purest metals used in watchmaking. The watch is worn on an integrated bracelet assembled using links fashioned in the same material as the case. The manufacture’s symbol, the bee, is a hallmark here for this piece which epitomizes excellence. It consorts with the Geneva Seal, a sure pledge of great workmanship and of traditional finishes imagined totally in line with the rules of the craft.
Its gradient-toned “Shades of Ice” blue dial takes on the pattern of an eagle’s iris, created by radiating stamping on the brass surface. The hour and minute hands on top hover over a low-key hour chapter, made up of slim markers. All these elements adorned with grade X1 Super-LumiNova® are ever-so easy to read no matter the conditions of light. These features are driven with great accuracy by Caliber L.U.C 96.42-L, put together using some 181 components. What’s more, this device meets COSC criteria, as it’s chronometer-certified. This selfwinding movement, equipped with a 950 platinum micro-rotor, delivers a comfortable power reserve of 65 hours obtained thanks to the presence of two stacked barrels. With this exclusive piece, the chic ‘n’ sporty look earns new prestige.
