A BIRD IN MOTION
More sporting in character, this new interpretation retains a precious connection to its jewelry roots while concealing, deep within its mechanics, a creative touch that follows every movement of the wrist.

160 years after creating its first chronograph, Tiffany & Co. continues the anniversary celebrations launched in January with a second Tiffany Timer, this time limited to 100 pieces. Following the platinum, diamonds and omnipresent Tiffany Blue® of the first edition, the New York brand opts for a sportier expression dominated by titanium and deep blue. A change of register that leaves both its jewelry roots and its creative philosophy intact, the latter revealing itself when the watch is turned over.
Paired with a navy blue alligator leather strap, the 40mm case is crafted from this robust, lightweight metal with its dark gray hue, while the bezel remains platinum, a precious detail retained as a tribute to Tiffany & Co.’s jewelry heritage. The sunray-finished dial is punctuated by touches of the brand’s signature turquoise, highlighting the minute track and framing the three counters. Chronograph minutes at 3 o’clock, hours and date at 6, and small seconds at 9 create a balanced composition. Behind this distinctly contemporary face beats Zenith’s automatic El Primero 400 caliber, adapted to Tiffany & Co.’s specifications and equipped with a column-wheel chronograph, with a 50-hour power reserve. Its openworked oscillating weight, recalibrated for the occasion, carries a Bird on a Rock measuring just 1.4cm, sculpted from yellow gold and polished by hand. The bird may be perched, but the rotor carries it along with every movement of the wrist, an unexpected signature in motion, hidden at the heart of a proven mechanism.
